Train for Your Next Marathon Like a Pro
You’ve committed to running a marathon and now it’s time to train. Here are five tips to help you train like a pro.
Create a training schedule – This will be the most important part of your training. Plan the days and times you will train that fit your lifestyle. Be sure to create a balance between training days and rest days.
Nutrition – Support your workout with a solid nutrition plan. Your diet should keep your energy levels high with a balanced mix of protein, good carbs and fats. Don’t forget to hydrate.
Choose the Right Shoes – Invest in quality running shoes that support your foot type and feel comfortable when you run. Visit a local running shop to get the best fit and to get older shoes inspected.
Personal Training – We have certified and degreed fitness specialists who can train you for your next marathon. Whether you’re a beginner or professional runner, your trainer will give you advice and techniques to perform your best.
Group Exercise – Running with friends is a great way to gain motivation, encouragement and support. Another option is a group exercise class designed for runners.
